– Premium Urban Tech
This design aims to be a high-end smart object that redefines the door lock as an interface that communicates with space, rather than just a security device. The overall form consists of a soft-edge floating silhouette that removes sharp corners, minimizing mechanical protrusion and naturally merging like an architectural element when attached to a wall.
The front features a transparent layer structure centered on a high-gloss black panel, making the device perceived as thinner and lighter than its actual volume. The numeric keypad is implemented as a floating light UI, which activates visually only when in use. This reflects a Calm Technology philosophy—existing as a quiet object normally and responding only when needed. The blue-toned light edges and keypad lighting function as a light-based feedback system that intuitively communicates access, input, and authentication status, providing psychological stability and a premium image even at night.
The curved outer frame features an ergonomic curvature considering hand approach angles, and the boundary with the wall is treated with subtle lighting to give the impression that the product is floating slightly away from the wall. This is a symbolic device that transforms security from a concept of blocking into a sophisticated welcome experience. Overall, this design proposes a next-generation smart door lock that satisfies both functional reliability and emotional satisfaction, serving as a quiet yet certain face of technology suitable for urban living spaces.
