PINO Selected for the Korea Medical Device Development Fund R&D Project
PINO, a design firm specializing in medical devices, has been selected as the design service provider for an R&D project hosted by the Korea Medical Device Development Fund.
The Korea Medical Device Development Fund is a national strategic initiative that provides comprehensive government-wide support for the entire lifecycle of medical devices, covering planning, research, development, licensing, and commercialization. It is characterized by evaluating not only technical completion but also practical utility in clinical settings and overall industrial competitiveness.
In this project, PINO will serve as a specialized medical device design agency. We will provide systematic support for the entire design process, ranging from product planning to user experience (UX), structural and aesthetic design, and the establishment of brand identity.
In particular, through a design approach that reflects clinical environments and actual usage scenarios of medical staff and patients, PINO will play a key role in ensuring R&D outcomes naturally transition into the actual market and medical fields.
PINO has consistently built its expertise by conducting numerous design projects centered on the medical and aesthetic device sectors. This includes structural design based on a deep understanding of medical environments, design solutions considering safety, usability, and maintenance, and design strategies that deliver both device performance and brand value. This extensive experience and professionalism served as the primary background for being selected as a design service provider for the Korea Medical Device Development Fund.
Through this project, PINO plans to prove that medical device design goes beyond mere aesthetic development and is a key factor in improving the quality of research results and substantially strengthening commercialization potential.
Moving forward, PINO will continue to contribute to strengthening the national medical device industry’s competitiveness as a specialized design partner connecting technology, medical fields, and users.
